Service Description
Prerequisites: BSP Certification This five (5) day training is a continuation of Building Science Principles, giving students the fundamentals to complete a complete home assessment. Students will learn: Home As A System Blower Door Testing Health & Safety Diagnostics Energy Auditor’s Toolbox Indoor Air Quality Ventilation Blower Door Basics Zonal Pressure Diagnostics Infrared Camera Usage Thermal & Pressure Boundaries Retrofit Strategies This class is designed for those individuals that will be working in the Low-Income Network primarily under the DOE WAP Program and those who may start out in the Utility Programs with plans to move to DOE WAP. This class will have extensive time in the lab area practicing different testing procedures of the program, while using the facility’s props. No tools are needed other than a notebook, flashlight, clipboard, and tape measure. Additional textbook reading will be assigned with a written test at the conclusion of the week.
