What We Do
Green Jobs Academy is New England’s only regional Home Weatherization and Energy Efficiency training facility for income-eligible and market-rate networks. We provide complete career development training and certification courses. Through hands-on instructional learning, GJA provides students with the knowledge and skills necessary to enter and advance in the home weatherization field.

Green Jobs Academy is accredited by the Interstate Renewable Energy Council on four core weatherization training courses. In addition, Green Jobs Academy offers Building Performance Institute (BPI) training courses and is a BPI test center. The Building Performance Institute is the nation’s premier standards development and credentialing organization for residential energy auditing and upgrade work.
History
Since 2010, Green Jobs Academy has provided weatherization job training with a dual mission and business model: to provide entry level skills training that prepares individuals for in-demand, living wage jobs with a career ladder in the weatherization industry, and to provide flexible, customized, continuing education training for weatherization and energy efficiency professionals to continue to advance in the industry. Mission:
At Green Jobs Academy, we aim to mitigate environmental impacts and foster sustainable practices through specialized weatherization training and hands-on education. We are dedicated to cultivating a robust weatherization workforce, addressing the needs of the community, and empowering students with career advancement skills. In doing so, we aim to uplift the lives of both our students and the clients they serve.

Meet The Team

Jamie Stockbridge
Division Director of Energy Services
Over the last 24 years, Jamie has worked her way up through various administrative roles in energy conservation services South Middlesex Opportunity Council. Most recently she was promoted to Division Director of Energy Services, including our Green Jobs Academy!

Richard DeYoung
Program Manager
Rich has over 20 years of sales experience and has spent the last six years in the Energy Efficiency world. He is passionate about education, energy efficiency and working with people.

Angelica Ventura
Program Coordinator
Angelica comes to us from SMOC’s Emergency Shelter. She is excited to be working at Green Jobs Academy to help make a tangible, positive impact on the environment that will benefit generations to come, and to learn about the innovative and rapidly evolving technologies within the field of Weatherization. Her passion lies in helping others in need.

TJ Lessing
Program Recruiter
New to the Weatherization Field, TJ is coming to the Green Jobs Academy with a background in mental health and human services. Academia/development work have afforded TJ the opportunity to work with individuals from many backgrounds throughout the world. He is excited to bring his energy and enthusiasm to help connect individuals to opportunities for skills development and career growth. With hopes of empowering others to keep searching for better ways that we can all live together in harmony!

Steven Antonini
Lead Weatherization Trainer
Steve has over 25 years of experience as a trainer and an instructor and helps with the development and implementation of our various course curriculums. His passions lie in ecology, water conservation, and helping people learn to build more energy-efficient housing.

Joshua Weaver
Weatherization Trainer
Joshua Weaver entered the weatherization industry almost by accident, drawn in simply because it sounded interesting. What began as curiosity quickly became a career and a calling. With over 11 years in the weatherization industry now, he looks forward to decades more of learning and bettering himself.

Matthew Martineau
Instructional Designer & Marketing Specialist
Matt has over 5 years of experience as a professional communicator and works with GJA's instructors to design training materials, create and update curriculums, and develop marketing strategies. He also took on the creation, development, and implementation of GJA’s recent rebranding. He is passionate about green energy, climate science, and helping others learn.

Sharisse Candito
Data Analyst
Shari is a professional in information technology with over 15 years of experience. Her passion includes creating innovative and advanced technical weatherization training suitable for learners of all levels. She plays a crucial role in defining the future student learning experiences in weatherization, particularly focusing on BPI and DOE.
