Service Description

This intensive 1-day course provides hands-on training for the proper installation and maintenance of clothes dryer exhaust systems. Participants will learn how to ensure maximum dryer efficiency, comply with current building codes, and mitigate fire hazards through professional-grade ducting techniques.

What You Will Learn

• Code Compliance & Safety: Understanding International Residential Code (IRC) requirements for duct length, diameter, and termination points.

• Material Selection: Identifying the pros and cons of rigid metal, semi-rigid, and flexible transition ducts.

• Installation Techniques: Step-by-step procedures for routing ductwork through walls, floors, and crawlspaces.

• Vent Termination: Proper installation of wall hoods and roof jacks to prevent backdrafts and pest entry.

• Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Techniques for cleaning lint buildup and diagnosing airflow restrictions.

Cancellation Policy

Green Jobs Academy reserves the right to cancel any scheduled class due to insufficient enrollment, in which case registered students will receive a full refund. Conversely, students wishing to cancel their registration must provide written notice at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled start time of the class. Failure to cancel within this 24-hour window, or failure to attend, will result in the student being held responsible for the full tuition cost.
