  • EOHLC MA DOE WAP Energy Auditor - Week 3

    Prerequisites: EOHLC EA Week 2 This training will consist of a review of previous sessions, practice of diagnostic testing and additional DOE WAP Program requirements (Priority List Training & Intro to NEAT). Upon completion and passing of all tests the students will receive their Massachusetts EOHLC/DOE WAP Certification. The only other requirements needed will be the following safety trainings: LEAD RRP, OSHA-10 & OSHA Confined Space.

    This OSHA Confined Spaces training is a comprehensive safety program designed for weatherization workers interested in understanding and expanding their knowledge of the new OSHA standard for Confined Spaces (29 CFR 1926 Subpart AA)-any space that meets the following three criteria: is large enough for a worker to enter it; has limited means of entry or exit; and is not designed for continuous occupancy. Specifically devised for safety directors, foremen, and field supervisors; the program provides complete information on OSHA compliance issues. BPI (2.5 CEUs)

  • EOHLC MA DOE WAP Energy Auditor - Week 1

    Prerequisites: BSP Certification This five (5) day training is a continuation of Building Science Principles, giving students the fundamentals to complete a complete home assessment. This class is designed for those individuals that will be working in the Low-Income Network primarily under the DOE WAP Program and those who may start out in the Utility Programs with plans to move to DOE WAP.

    This class is an introduction and would be considered mandatory for those staff that will be working exclusively in the field reviewing and inspecting heating systems for the DOE WAP or HWAP Programs. The class would also be beneficial for any office staff to get a better understanding of the operation of heating systems, system parts and how to test and inspect.

    The Home Energy Professional (HEP) Quality Control Inspector certification is offered by BPI and is supported by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and its National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL). By earning the HEP Quality Control Inspector certification, you prove that you can verify the compliance of retrofit work performed based on work plans and standards, conduct audits and inspections using diagnostic equipment, and can develop reports that specify corrective actions to achieve whole house performance.
